Blending in

Hello loves! I hope you have all had a satisfying and relaxing weekend. This weekend I went for a barbecue with friends and today I went for a movie with family. We saw From Bombay to Paris, which of course made me dream of living in France as usual. It’s one of my dreams that is so close to my heart that I often catch myself daydreaming about fairy-tale moments in France. I am officially back in Dubai and that means “back to business”, I am trying to figure out how to live the life I dream of with the resources I currently have. I think sometimes it is important to just forget the rules and simply take a risk. They say you only regret the chances you didn’t take.Mmm easier said than done…

Cut Out Brogues

Hey lovelies!
Guess who just bought a new pair of shoes? Me! I went on a mini shopping trip today and acquired a new pair of shoes. Of course I found myself in the shoe section of New Look as I usually do and my eyes naturally gravitated towards the patent cut out brogues that hung across from me, there were white ones and maroon ones but I just loved the classic black pair. I have never owned brogues and have always loved them from afar. And now that the cut out style is so in fashion I think that they are just crazy enough for my shoe obsessed heart. Continue reading

Stylish shorts

Hey! Hope you have all had a productive start to the week and have a chance to have some tea and cake in your break time, or indulge in something relaxing and special to de stress.

Yesterday I decided to go for a very casual chic outfit. I decided to pair my favourite shorts with a grey top and a cropped cardigan. It’s the kind of outfit that I really enjoy wearing on hot days. I think that the shorts add a chicness to the outfit because of the cute tie around belt and the structure that they have. I bought them a few years ago and I have a patterned pair. There was also a brown suede pair in my size that I absolutely adored, but never bought. boo!! I’m attempting to update my blog daily so stay tuned for more outfit posts in the future.

My 22nd Birthday Look

Image

Hello lovelies,

I celebrated my 22nd Birthday on Wednesday of this week, the 14th of May.  I decided to try something new with my hair and wear some bright pink lipstick. The dress is a bargain find from the clothing section in Carrefour. What I like most about the look is that it’s so me. I love wearing strapless maxi dresses especially when the weather begins to get on the warmer side. I think there is something so simple and elegant about it. I also realise that I’m not wearing shoes in this post, and I hadn’t put on my earrings yet either! Shock horror, but I really enjoyed having a chill day at home doing my hair and spending a little extra time me time (My mom even cleaned up my eyebrows), so I don’t really mind that I don’t look perfect.
