Hello loves! I hope you have all had a satisfying and relaxing weekend. This weekend I went for a barbecue with friends and today I went for a movie with family. We saw From Bombay to Paris, which of course made me dream of living in France as usual. It’s one of my dreams that is so close to my heart that I often catch myself daydreaming about fairy-tale moments in France. I am officially back in Dubai and that means “back to business”, I am trying to figure out how to live the life I dream of with the resources I currently have. I think sometimes it is important to just forget the rules and simply take a risk. They say you only regret the chances you didn’t take.Mmm easier said than done…

Chiara Love’s Andrew
The Blonde Salad by Chiara Ferragni is one of the most successful fashion blogs in the world and Italy’s most successful fashion blogs. Chiara is and has always been my most favourite fashion blogger, for a myriad of reasons(I’ll give a more detailed post on this!). The reason I began obsessing over blogs was because of her. She portrayed her life as a student in Milan, as a fashion fairytale parading her closet on the streets of the Italian City of Fashion. I loved watching her, following her on holiday and watching her grow her shoe line. However, her personal life was in the spotlight as well. Her relationship with business partner and longtime boyfriend Riccardo Pozzoli was especially fascinating, since they were soo good together, both on the business side and the relationship side. They were soo cute!!
But alas, their six year relationship ended in 2013, to the shock of the fashion community and Chiara’s fans. Don’t worry, she wasn’t heart broken, they remained the closest of friends and shared the news of their breakup on social media, posting matching pictures and text that they had clearly decided on together. Saying that they will remain in each others lives and that they love and respect one another and will remain friends. How sweet!
Sometime in the year 2013 Chiara met Andrew Arthur and fashion fans could gladly watch another love story unfold.
Andrew Arthur is a Los Angeles based photographer and is the true subject of this post. Since stalking their relationship on instagram and finding some insanely cute and romantic pictures of them I have well and truly fallen for the aesthetic qualities of his photography and his personal style. I also love the fact that they have so far made long distance relationship work. Their street style combined is relaxed, cool, with a rock edge. I am also, amazed at how beautiful and successful their collaborations have been. Andrew Arthur shot the campaign images for her jewellery line CAIA Jewels, which turned out incredible!!
Other collabs include her shoe line with Superga 🙂
Also some blog shots! These were taken in Paris, the City of Love.
They also travel together, last year they went to Vietnam together with their friends. But I mostly just love the way they are together, it’s very understated, laid back and chic (their style that is). And they do love each other very much as Andrew frequently posts pictures of Chiara in support and love for her. It’s so adorable. Andrew has shot a lot more ad campaigns and photographs for Chiara, but I’d like to focus on them fashionably together. Here we go!
Long live the love birds, may they be happy and prosper.
Black Out Crew-the first photo is my personal favourite, which is yours? They are the epitome of cool!
Lots of love,
Vuyi
PS. Isn’t Andrew Arthur just perf? ugh seriously…

Why I love Kristina Bazan
Wow, Kristina Bazan is incredible.
I have always loved fashion blogging, since 2011 when I stumbled across The Blonde Salad and fell head over heels in love with Chiara Ferragni’s fashion world. And since then I have found many fashion blogs, many capital g ‘Great’ blogs. However, I have most recently become disinterested and maybe even uninspired by them. You see I was a bit obsessed and didn’t use my time constructively and didn’t channel this fascination into motivation. They all seemed distant and dream like and I felt that I was never going to achieve the lifestyles/careers that these fashion blogging giants had created out of the internet.
But most recently, something has changed in me. Something I haven’t felt before has crept up in me. It’s a feeling I’m not used to and I’m not sure I can accurately and rightly describe it. It’s a dream of some sorts that’s creeping into my thoughts, filling my veins with a different colour. And I have ideas that I’ve never really had before, ideas that I’ve decided to turn into reality. It’s like a start of a new era in my life and I’m not willing to let go of this feeling, this spark.
Getting back to the title of this post. Just today, tonight actually I stumbled across Kayture on Youtube. The channel’s into is all about ‘The New Kayture’ this got me interested. I’ve known about Kristina Bazan’s blog-Kayture for around a year now, but I never paid that much attention. She looked stunning at NYFW but still, I never explored her blog. Like I never spent a good amount of time there. How have I missed this? It’s beautiful. Everything that I like to see in a blog: vision, beauty, class, ease. It’s perfect. It’s not too braggy, but you can tell that she is proud of her accomplishments; as she should be. And in her blog’s third year anniversary post I found just the inspiration I needed to keep moving forward with my dreams, and think outside the box. She had me realise that there are always going to be problems, mistakes, trouble and hardship. But if you are working for something that you truly believe in, that you are truly passionate about, that nothing can and should stop you. Kristina wanted her blog to be a space for positivity so she said that she leaves all the drama and bad feelings behind the camera. She wants her readers to come to her blog and feel inspired and happy. Isn’t that beautiful?! Kristina has troubles. She has down days! Things sometimes don’t work out the way she wants. But she still keeps moving, keeps working, keeps inspiring. She doesn’t give up. This just made me happy, and made me want to write this post. Maybe it’s not that interesting and maybe I’m rambling, but I want to achieve my dreams too, and I don’t want to give up because I’m afraid, or because it might not be the ‘safe’ bet. I want to fall a million times and get back up a million and one times. That will be the new me. May this blog be filled with, love, hope and confidence.
Thank you Kristina!
all my love,
Vuyi
