Today I am trying out a lipstick colour that I’ve been meaning to try for a while now. I watched a video where Nikki Philippi was talking about trying a purple lipstick and loving it and since then I’ve been hooked on the idea of trying one myself. I immediately went for a darker shade because I think that darker colours suit my skin tone better. The lipstick itself makes me feel so grown up for some reason and it instantly adds a drama to a look.

Summer is well and truly upon us, well nearly and everyone is busy making a plan to leave on various trips, they are even making plans for the fall, working on their bikini bodies or just plain working. I’ve been feeling quite strange lately. I’ve been trying to truly embrace my inner creative and dreamer. I’ve been working on some personal goals and trying to figure out what this blogging world is all about. To be completely honest with you, it hasn’t been too easy. I have been working on my “bikini body” and I do have plans for summer. I even have plans for the fall. However, none of this is truly satisfying and by that I mean that I’ve wanted to do more. I’ve been meaning to do something different and that “something different” hasn’t been all that easy to figure out. In some sense I think that that’s ok. It’s ok not to have your life 100% figured out. It’s ok not to have a well thought out and planned road map for very decision you are going to take. Planning is great, being busy is also great but you need to take the time out to reflect and just be sometimes. That’s what I’ve been doing a lot of and I think it’s going to be a good thing in the long run because I’m taking time to figure out my values in the midst of the rush of life. Continue reading

I went shopping this weekend and ended up in an accessories store that was on sale, called I am. “On Sale” I love those two words! I picked up three pairs of earrings on my trip, I could have bought so much more, because everything was so beautiful, but I decided to restrict myself to 3 of my favourite pairs. I’ve recently fallen back in love with accessories and jewellery after I tidied up my jewellery box and storage and rediscovered all these pretty, shiny things that I can add to my outfits and make me sparkle a little more. The earrings of this particular post will definately add a bit of dazzle to my daily outfits. I was immediately attracted to them because Zoe(Zoella on Youtube) is obsessed with all things copper and rose gold. After seeing this pretty pair I completely understand what all the fuss was about, why don’t I have more rose gold and copper in my life? Continue reading

I hope you are all doing well! Today I want to talk to you about my new workout gear. I recently started doing Pilates with Cassey Ho’s Pop Pilates videos on Youtube. If you’ve ever wanted to try mat Pilates, her videos are super fun, easy to follow and you can do them from the comfort of your own home. In any case, since I have been trying to work on my fitness, I wanted to look good while working out and so naturally I went shopping for some gear. I already have workout clothing from my time training in University, but I needed something extra cute to keep me motivated. That’s when I picked up this sports bra and legging duo. The mint caught my eye immediately and I loved the adorable straps on the back. I really love the idea of cute sports bras and crop tops when working out and I’ve never tried it before, so I jumped at the chance to get this one. I will have to show you exactly how cute it looks when on, but for now I thought these pics would do just fine. Also how fun is my nail polish? Today I wanted to talk to you about my new concealer. I was previously using a Mac concealer which I was really enjoying but after it finished I decided to look for more affordable alternatives. I like this one from Maybeline a lot. I like the fact that it comes with an easy to use applicator. It’s not too heavy and cakey on the skin which is something I really appreciate and I can easily blend it with my Garnier BB cream and it looks lovely. The colour is definitely not completely my shade, but I’m sure I can find something lighter if I look. The one I’m using makes my skin look very brown and darker to what I’m used to. But that’s ok, I just look a bit tanned is all. I’m definitely going to think about purchasing the Fit Me! Foundation as well. Continue reading
